Y Show - 10th. Art Biennal of Havana, Cuba

The Y Show, part of the 10th. International Art Biennal of Havana, exhibited ten posters designed by twenty cuban and international artists. The chosen concept was "Integration and resistance". Invited by Pepe Menéndez (organizer), María Mercedes Salgado and myself designed together one of the posters.

All the pieces were silkscreened at the legandary workshop René Portocarrero (in which the opening party was held) and they are posted all around the city as well.

La MUESTRA DE CARTELES Y, parte de la Décima Bienal de Arte de La Habana, presentó 10 posters creados (en duplas) por 20 diseñadores cubanos e internacionales. El tema escogido fue "Integración y resistencia". Invitados por Pepe Menéndez (organizador), María Mercedes Salgado y yo trabajamos en conjunto un cartel que forma parte de la muestra.

Las obras fueron serigrafiadas en el legendario taller René Portocarrero (lugar donde fue también la fiesta de inauguración) y se exhiben actualmente en diversas zonas de La Habana Vieja.

Magazine Library pictures

Here are the pictures from the Magazine Library Exhibition in Tokio. It was a huge success, TOMALA! was there as well as our friends from BG Magazine. PLACE exhibit opens in Quito, Ecuador

In 2004 i was invited, along with 34 other designers from around the world, to be part of the VASAVA-organized project, PLACE. Almost 4 years, 2 books and 17.000 Kms. later, the exhibit opened at the Centro Cultural Itchimbía, Quito, Ecuador. I attended the opening and gave a brief talk to the assistants. The show will be open until february 2008, so please visit. It's worth the trip.

En 2004 fui invitado a participar, junto a 34 diseñadores escogidos alrededor del mundo, del proyecto organizado por el estudio de diseño Barcelonés VASAVA, PLACE. Cuatro años, dos libros y 17.000 Kilómetros después, la muestra abrió en el Centro Cultural Itchimbía, en Quito, Ecuador.
Estuve presente en la inauguración y hable acerca de la experiencia a los asistentes. El show estará abierto hasta febrero de 2008. Si pueden visítenlo, lo van a disfrutar.

Alberto Spencer Poster Exhibition

Poster for the Alberto Spencer Exhibition. A group of Ecuadorian graphic designers were invited to participate in this show, a homage to the most recognized Ecuadorian soccer player ever. It opened in Guayaquil on november 1st.

Poster para exhibición en tributo a Alberto Spencer. Un grupo de diseñadores gráficos locales fuimos invitados a participar de este homenaje al más reconocido futbolista Ecuatoriano de todos los tiempos. La muestra abrió en Guayaquil el 1ro. de noviembre.

3rd. China International Poster Biennal

I was invited to the exhibition "New poster era", as part of the 3rd. China International Poster Biennal, happening in Hangzhou, China, from october 26.
25 designers from all around the world were invited, among them Fons Hickmann (Germany), Niko Stumpo (Italy) and Ostengruppe (Russia).

Fui invitado a participar de la exhibición "New poster era", como parte de la 3ra. Bienal Internacional del Poster en Hangzhou, China. La muestra inauguró el 26 de octubre.
